Our Story
The Academy for the Art of Metal Shaping, Inc., was founded in 2014. AAMS provides a classroom experience that fosters the development of world-class metal shaping skill and technique. Our head instructor, Master CoachBuilder Mark Gerisch, is a 38-year industry veteran. His experience and career are internationally renowned and Mark uses his unique skill sets to teach students how to craft and replicate exotic cars and concept vehicles. AAMS provides students with an opportunity to learn these rare techniques in the modern world, with modern equipment.
The Academy for the Art of Metal Shaping, Inc. is passionate about our mission of teaching metal shaping and CoachBuilding to the next generation of master craftsmen. We have partnered with like-minded companies and philanthropies in order to establish our educational facility. We are proud to provide teachers, craftsmen, equipment, and philosophies that will transform students with a passion for excellence in car design and fabrication into qualified CoachBuilders.
